Mind Games and Emotions
I’m going through the fire right now and will reveal our blessed Helper and Savior Jesus Christ pulling me out of this pit as it happens. Oh the mind games and emotions..
At this very moment, emotions are overcoming me. Emotions of sadness, confusion, a sinking feeling inside, worry, anxiousness, etc. I’m near tears. Alone. My thoughts are spiraling out of control. Emotions are taking over and they are feeding more thoughts. Snowballing is in motion…
2 minutes ago, I was typing a blog titled: “I need prayer.” Then the first sentence came out, “I need help, I am sinking.” As I typed those words, the Sword of the Spirit came to mind – “Life and death are in the power of the tongue.” I said it, so I have it. What do I believe?? Then He said: “Remember!!!”, and I started to remember the things of our Teacher that He taught me about these mind games and emotions. WHAM! Eyes opened. Hello Satan. I’m under attack. To the Word I go –
Blessed be the Lord, Blessed be the Word of God.
Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whoseis stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Romans 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
Romans 8:5-7 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Ephesians 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Thoughts of the mind are gone. Peace is with me. My Father, Brother, Friend, Lover, Helper, Teacher, Guide, and Savior. My God.. Thank you.
2 Thessalonians 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Hebrews 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
Emotions are no longer. For good measure:
Colossians 3:1-3 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
I took a break before posting this message, and the fiery darts continued: “You can’t over come this. You’re weak.” I said: “That’s right Satan, but He can.” Then a Sword came in: “Meditate on the scripture.”
Joshua 1:8-9 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
This is why it is important to study the Word of God. He comes in and does the fighting. The mind is the main battleground. Now it’s time for me to meditate on this manna. Thank you Jesus. I say Amen.
In agreement with you my friend and brother in Christ. I am awake, bored, wanting to write and my mind is not settling enough to let the Lord speak through me so I thought I will visit some of my favorite blogs and see what the Lord is giving to others. My first thought was I wish I had been here earlier to pray with you, agree in Jesus name that you were going to make it through this :) immediately God says “I have it under control”, you pray, you agree, this is what I want all of my children to do, seek me, seek help in my word. I will give you comfort, peace and rest. So dear brother I agree with you in prayer for peace and comfort from the greatest comforter. God bless and keep you in peace, rest well, the battle IS the Lord’s. God bless. Tawana
Had to come back and share! I listen to gospelhiway.org, the song playing is He Knows Your Pain. It’s an awesome word from God, some of the words are “walk on in faith”. God is so awesome. Then the commercial is talking about the Peace of God, knowing God is in control. The world’s peace is fleeting because it’s grounded in circumstances, God’s peace is everlasting because it’s grounded in God’s perfect grace.
“Love the Lord thy God…” “with all your mind.”
To me this means to give a sacrifice of praise over every aspect of our lives– even the yucky ones.
Joey, Trust that I have been covering you in prayer.
When crises comes we tend to wipe out the whole history of where God has been faithful. To entertain in our mind that God is not answering my prayers or that He hasn’t heard me, and yet He has been there all along, but our vision has become clouded by the these things that overwhelm us. The pain then grows deeper, and we stumble, and we then become like Peter. We lose “trust, faith, hope, and we then begin to doubt.” Peter looks at the conditions (trials) and as they worsen, he looses ground, he begins to sink…he cries out and Jesus immediately reaches in and saves him. He says “Why did you doubt me Joey, oh you of little FAITH.
There was a great grief in God’s heart that day “Why did you doubt me???? do you not know that I am God Almighty Your Father and I am always there for you?????? When we loose faith we begin to panic, we get scared, we lose heart, we loose hope, we fail…God has made “faith” my responsibility. “you” speak to the mountain” “Be gone from me, with the faith and authority that our Father gives and it shall be removed” Just speak to the mountain in faith……You love me, and You will take care of me and all that I desire. I give up trying…… and I cast myself into Your arms Lord, I can’t do this any longer I want you to Provide for me. I come to “Your Mountain Of Provision” to find you there and allow You My Father to intercede on my behalf and to make provision for me and my circumstance. Again I walk up the mountain-this time with the Boldness, Power, Faith and Trust that you will Provide all. Forgive the unbelief and the loss of heart that I have had. So I say “mountain (Satan) be removed and cast into the sea this is my promise from God My Father, you have stolen from me what does not belong to you long enough, I will not stand by and let you steal the rest of my life…I rebuke you in My Heavenly Fathers only Son Name Jesus, the Name above all Names. The Name in which you have NO authority over. The Name by which I have been redeem, bought and paid for by His Blood and Made an Heir to His Kingdom of which you have no rule. In Jesus Name you must flee Amen Amen
ahhh…Now I hear you Lord,
As you so tenderly put your hands on each of my arms and look me in the eye you say
“Oh my precious child Joey”
Watch and see how much I love you (SHMILY). I am there for you to give you the hope and future that is in My word that you hold firmly to. I care about the most intricate details of your life. It’s so simple all you have to do is “TRUST” and have “FAITH” in me with all that you have and know that Am fighting your battles for you, for I am your Defender and Warrior and I have your best interest in my hand. Feel comfort as I hold onto you so tightly. Keep your sight focused on me and not the situation. That is the whole moral of the story of Peter. When he looked around he lost sight of Me he began to sink. Have “FAITH in ME and DOUBT NOT” and I will show you, I work all things together for good please TRUST in that. “Trust with all your heart and lean not on your OWN understanding and I will make your paths straight”
Love Your Father
2 Corinthians 4
7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. 8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 11 For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may be revealed in our mortal body. 12 So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Meditate on These Things 8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. 9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
Love you guys/gals. Thank you for sharing. Tawana, good testimony, thank you! We are One in the Spirit. Body of Christ.. amen.
