Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God

Spirit vs Flesh

Glory to God for His word..

“That which is born of the flesh is flesh. And that which is born of the Spirit is spirit”– John 3:6.  It comes by birth as generated by a fallen begetter. Concerning this Flesh, we are told: it “cannot please God.” (Rom. 8:8);it “profiteth nothing:” (John 6:63); there is in it “no good thing:” (Rom. 7:18).

This is a very good writing on the topic of  Spirit versus flesh.  It’s directly to the point and if you want to understand the nature of man, this is it!  I suggest a slow read… dwell upon what the writer is saying..  It’s truth.  Soak it in and let it speak to you.  Enjoy!: http://www.bibleunderstanding.com/twonatures.htm

God bless,

joseph

Spirit over mind over matter

I give glory to God for all gained knowledge.  Some times I speak as if I have done something, but in the end, it is God that has done this work within me.  “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not
from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one
can boast.”

This body is a vessel and it includes a mind, will and emotions: The soul and heart (I may say “heart” and I may say “soul”.. they are one in the same as far as my understanding is. These terms are spiritual).  – FYI: This posting needs updating.. This was an old post and further knowledge has been gained in this area.. please let God guide you on this.. Paradoxical Commandments

A good read – Jesus did it Anyway.  It’s about the Paradoxical Commandments by Dr. Kent M. Keith.  He wrote these back in the 60s for student leaders.  20-30yrs later, he learned that these roamed around the earth and were used by millions of people.  When he learned that Mother Theresa had his Paradoxical Commandments hanging up on the entrance of a refuge for children, he decided to write a book about them.  Here are the commandments: Continue reading: Paradoxical Commandments
