Contradictions and Half Truths
Recently a brother in Christ and I went to a football game. On the way home, we began to discuss the view of the Bible that we have heard from unbelievers. We have both heard many times from unbelievers that the Word of God is full of contradictions and half truths. As we discussed the writings, we had an idea –
The Word of God is alive and well. The Living Word. Praise God. Today, a sister in-Christ and I were finalizing plans on shipping her a case of adult bibles for her church. As I gathered the case of bibles to weigh them, I had a fiery dart hit up against the Helmet of Salvation *tink* – “Are you sure? You’re almost out of bibles.” Haha, stand behind me selfish Satan. Yes, I am sure. Yehovah Yireh is MY GOD and I am HIS. Blessed be the Lord –
After reading a brother’s post about Bible Study, I decided to put together a Top 10 Bible Study suggestion list.
Around this time last year, the Lord blessed me with the resources and opportunity to purchase some bibles on the cheap. This was its own testimony. The website I ordered from had their price incorrectly marked, but they honored it. Then, they gave a discount for ministry and tossed in free shipping. Praise God. The lady said “You’ll never see these bibles this cheap again.” Ya right, I have a BIG God –
The Lord is good. The only visitor tonight at the shelter’s bible study was a 12yr old boy. He walked in and wasn’t sure he wanted to stay. He said “I want to come in, but I don’t…” and I said, “Ya, I know.. that’s the Spirit vs Flesh.” He sat down, praise God.
The words that come out of the mouths of young children are so edifying. This was so cool. He sits down and says “I’m not a Christian.”
Praise God for giving me the mind to remember another testimony of His. As I sat down this evening to clean up some broken links in this blog, I came across this testimony from God where He was revealing Himself. It took place last Thanksgiving: An answered prayer testimony for Matthew. As I read this, I recalled another one that happened with Matthew. This was an answered prayer and God revealed Himself.. I pray that Matthew has the eyes to see that it was God.. and I pray it blesses your heart –
It is an interesting thing to watch the Word of God come alive in life. Everything that the Word teaches is real, very real. It is the Living Word of God.
The Word is fluid, it moves with us through our walk in life. Living Water. He speaks through the Word with teaching, moldings, conviction, and so on. He guides us and fellowships with us through the Word. Prayers are answered and He reveals His will. Here are a couple of examples:
