Wisely Choosing Wisdom
Choose Wisely Students of Life – has to rank into the top 5 lessons of my walk with the Lord. I originally wrote an article about it a few years ago, but there is something in me that needs to get more out. Please, I urge you, utilize the blessed knowledge the Lord has given you that is immediately available (choosing wisely) –
Matthew 22:36-37 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
The word love in this context is agape in the Greek. The central meaning to agape is a self-sacrificing love. It is not a human feeling that is emotional, sentimental, etc. It also is unrelated to a brotherly, friendly, or sexual kind of love. It is the essence of God, God is love. Now, this is how it is now reading to me –
I found this on the internet today and would like to share it. Insight on what a mind that needs to be renewed looks like, scripture calling for a renewed mind, and other verses of what a renewed mind looks like. I felt this was a great follow-up to the post from the other day: Tactical Spiritual Warfare. Be blessed –
Are you ready for this Christian soldier? Buckle up the belt of Truth. We’re gonna get into some good tactics here. Regardless if we like it or not, we’re in the midst of spiritual warfare. The main battlefront of this war is our mind and the winner wins the soul. It’s time to get tactical and understand the tactics of the enemy in this spiritual war. I pray this lesson from God will help us all fight the good fight. First and foremost, let us get our armor on –
Just because someone does not believe in the reality of God, it does not make Him all of a sudden non-existent. God is real regardless if someone believes or not.
The reality we believe in is the one we partake in. The one we partake in is the one we obey. We should examine and see which reality is our master.
As I was writing this, the movie Matrix came to mind. The video below pretty much sums it up, as well as this verse –
The Lord and I did a bible study this morning at an assisted living retirement center. As I readied myself, I worried about not having a message. The Sword of the Spirit: “Don’t worry, I will put words in your mouth.” So I prayed. As I started prayer, the verse that has been speaking to me the last couple of days (see here and here) was on my lips:
Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
I can not stress the power behind this verse enough. My entire lesson this week has come full circle and the Word has now exploded. Check this testimony/teaching out –
Praise God for answered prayers! Here’s quick testimony.
This evening, a Pastor called requesting prayer. Without going into too many details, he needed prayer for a project. The project needed completion soon or it would have cost the Pastor additional $. He could not make contact with a brother who is working on the project, thus he requested prayer.
My prayer tonight was different. The mind of Christ was put on, I got quiet, and released anything of me, which has not been done in a while (sorry for anyone I have prayed for lately, ugh. Being transparent is hard sometimes. Please forgive me.) As I entered prayer, I heard the Lord say “There you are, where have you been?” Thank you Lord for the scripture last night. Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Anyways, on to the testimony –
