True Love

Trials and Tribulations – Count it all Joy

Rock of Ages

At Church, the praise and worship team, in the nearly 1.5yrs I’ve been going, have never used our hymn books.  We have used them in other occasions, but we have never used them Sunday mornings because the band sings other songs.  This past Sunday, their last song, they asked us to pull out our hymn books to hymn #465: Rock of Ages.

Balloons from the Lord

I met a homeless family this week, and after noticing they were Christians, I let them know I’ll be praying for them.  As I said this, I was looking into the eyes of one of the children and I could see/feel the worry in her.  The other older child also had this look.  It cut through to my soul.  Last night, I asked the Father to use me today in order to bring a smile to the faces of the children.  I prayed and asked for Him to show me a way.  I was thinking maybe candy or something, but I didn’t know, and left it in His hands to work through me. Corrections from Father God

I find it awesome how God corrects me w/ His gentleness.  It’s like a spank on the butt.  Many times throughout the week, things will happen such as dropping something, knocking over a glass, stubbing the toe, a bump on the head, etc.  When these things happen, I evaluate what I was thinking at the time, and it has always been something I shouldn’t have been thinking.

A week or so ago, I was wheeling the garbage out to the end of the driveway.  My thoughts were going down a path that they should not have been going.  Read more…
