Spirit of Jezebel

A lesson pertaining to the spirit of Jezebel is a lesson that I’ve been through before that needs to be written on my heart. God, forgive me for not learning it the first time. Lord have mercy.. Lord, I thank you for the fire.. I rejoice in the lesson, I rejoice in being purified, I rejoice in the sweet release from the chains.. Thus, I dance. Hallelujah. Engrave it on me Lord..

As I search the scripture, I find Jezebel to be very wicked. She deadened the souls of men, lured them in with sensuality and sex, sought out those that are more easily influenced, she was on a power trip, thought nothing of other people’s feelings, she lied, she influenced people to get on board to her own ways of thinking in order to overthrow the righteous, she manipulated, and so on. There are so many more characteristics, it’s mind boggling. She is a man-eater. At times, she also professed to be with God and manipulated Godly men.

Here is a must watch video with its proof scripts. The global message is very good. I encourage you to study along while watching. He uses The Message translation once in a while, and I do not agree with some of the translations as the Hebrew definitions didn’t seem to align. Regardless, the global teaching is spot on.

Revelations 2:18 ‘These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet like fine brass: ¹⁹ “I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience; and as for your works, the last are more than the first. ²⁰ Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. ²¹ And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent. ²² Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. ²³ I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works.

1 Kings 19:1 And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, also how he had executed all the prophets with the sword. ² Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, “So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I do not make your life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time.” ³ And when he saw that, he arose and ran for his life, and went to Beersheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there. ⁴ But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a broom tree. And he prayed that he might die, and said, “It is enough! Now, Lord, take my life, for I am no better than my fathers!” ⁵ Then as he lay and slept under a broom tree, suddenly an angel touched him, and said to him, “Arise and eat.” ⁶ Then he looked, and there by his head was a cake baked on coals, and a jar of water. So he ate and drank, and lay down again. ⁷ And the angel of the Lord came back the second time, and touched him, and said, “Arise and eat, because the journey is too great for you.” ⁸ So he arose, and ate and drank; and he went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights as far as Horeb, the mountain of God. ⁹ And there he went into a cave, and spent the night in that place; and behold, the word of the Lord came to him, and He said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” ¹⁰ So he said, “I have been very zealous for the Lord God of hosts; for the children of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars, and killed Your prophets with the sword. I alone am left; and they seek to take my life.”

Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.
