Bible Study with a 12yr old
The Lord is good. The only visitor tonight at the shelter’s bible study was a 12yr old boy. He walked in and wasn’t sure he wanted to stay. He said “I want to come in, but I don’t…” and I said, “Ya, I know.. that’s the Spirit vs Flesh.” He sat down, praise God.
The words that come out of the mouths of young children are so edifying. This was so cool. He sits down and says “I’m not a Christian.”
We started to talk and I asked him if he believed in God, he said yes. Then I asked, “What is it that you believe God is?” He said “I believe that God died on the cross and forgives me for my sins.” Aw, is that cool or what?
We got into the bible study and studied some John and Matthew. I explained Jesus was the Word that we were reading and how He (the bible) is our instructions for life. By the time he left, he was underlining things in his bible that Jesus was speaking to him. So cool… so cool. He now knows he is a Christian! lol
Anyways, that’s all. I just had to share this. Kids are so edifying. That made my night.
