Fundamental Friday – Suffering

Fundamental Friday Question
Do Christians experience suffering, prosperity, or both?

I’ll keep my personal answer short-n-sweet. In the world, we will have trials and tribulations. But be of good cheer and prosper spiritually, as He has overcome the world. :)
My answer would be both. We will be persecuted by the world and the world will hate us. Thus, there will be suffering of the flesh, hallelujah. Spiritually speaking, much much prosperity.
Sadly, even tho the above is accurate in accordance to scripture, there is a movement that will teach a “prosperity” message that tickles the ears of the flesh. Sure, we will have our needs met, etc. But to glorify the flesh’s desires of “wants” is not God in my book. He doesn’t say He will fulfill all of our wants and selfish desires of the flesh. He says He will fulfill all of our needs, both physically and spiritually.
IMHO, if we base our life’s happiness on fulfilling selfish desires of the flesh, we’re in big trouble, spiritually speaking.
