Our Life is God’s Church: Jesus
The Lord continued to flow this morning on the last topic: Life with God and Jesus. I so thank God for the Body of Jesus Christ (you) as it helps me understand the things that happen in life.
Natural man’s understanding of coincidences in life are deemed as something of chance, an oddity, happenstance, etc. Man’s understanding of the word coincidence is not based on what the word really means. As we set our eyes on the things that are unseen, we see these things are coincidences if we know the definition of the word. Look at the word coincidence (the root: coincide). The websters definition of coincidence: (also explained in this posting)
1 a : to occupy the same place in space or time b : to occupy exactly corresponding or equivalent positions on a scale or in a series
2 : to correspond in nature, character, or function
3 : to be in accord or agreement
This is gonna get good, thank you Lord –
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
1 Corinthians 12:27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
Mmmm mm good food. “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God.” In our general life, we get many signs of confirmation that we are on the right path through other members of the Body of Christ, through the Word, and via His Church (again, The Body). God will speak to us through these means. This is why we get these repetitive topics flowing at certain times in our lives. There is goodness and unity at hand.
Judges 20:11 So all the men of Israel were gathered against the city, knit together as one man.
Colossians 2:2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
Romans 12:4-5 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
So, these coincidences…
1 a : to occupy the same place in space or time b : to occupy exactly corresponding or equivalent positions on a scale or in a series
2 : to correspond in nature, character, or function
3 : to be in accord or agreement
…the Body of Christ is working in and through the individual member’s life, for the sake of the Body and the glory of God. All things work together for the good to them that love God. Do you love God? Then all things, not some, all things that come into our lives are working together for His Goodness.
2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
This is the Church, the Body of Christ: You, me, and contacts with others that are like-minded and like-hearted, with the same goal and purpose – To be transformed into the image of Christ for His glory. It is His will that all are saved. So when these situations come up, we (me!) do not have to over-analyze these situations. It is as simple as God working in and through all of us, in all situations, for His glory.
This is why I am in love with the brethren. Because you are me, and I am you (One Spirit, One Body), working together for each other, and for others… All for His sake. Amen. Even on this blog, look over some recent posts and the comments. God is working in and through each one of us, in all circumstances. A phone call, a conversation, a bad event, a good event, a lesson here, a lesson there.. Or as Tawana puts it.. A thump! :)
Praise God! Thoughts?
