Plug: Convoy of Hope
It’s always been a challenge of mine to give money to very large relief organizations. When I give, it is nice to know that the recipient is a good steward of God’s resources. I know many organizations are good good organizations, and they help tremendously.. but I have a hard time giving $10 while only $6-7 will actually help the people I’m giving for.
I’m not affiliated with this agency but I am convinced that this is the best place to send money when disaster strikes. Check out this link, they are at the top of the industry in how they spend resources: Convoy of Hope Financials
91% goes to the people, 4% to organizational costs and 5% to fundraisers. Lastly, they are Christian based – BONUS! $9.10 out of $10 will go to the people. This is almost unheard of for an organization of this size. They are good good stewards. (Received the top rating from Charity Navigator for 7yrs running).
