Why I do What I do

Thank you friend for helping to draw this out of my heart..

It seems people wonder why I do what I do. I guess they wonder why I post on Facebook or why I post blogs. I’m sure it wouldn’t be an issue if it wasn’t for the content of my posts. Some may say I should give it a rest. Some may ask why I don’t have anything else I could talk about. Someone may even go as far as to say that I should just stop because no one cares. Some may say that no one wants to hear it. Others have gone as far to verbalize it, ‘Jesus Freak’, ‘Religious’, ‘part of a cult’, ‘Crazy’, ‘a fanatic’, or the ever popular, ‘holier than thou’.  Holier than thou I am not.. and very far from being perfect. So why do I do what I do?  Why is the majority of what I communicate about Jesus Christ? Well, my life isn’t very interesting. There isn’t much going on in my personal life that deserves to be mentioned. The one thing that is worthy of talking about is Jesus Christ.

Betrayal of the Ages

This is from a an awesome video, which I will link to at the bottom. The preacher speaks of a great betrayal of the ages, and it’s called humanism. I have been deceived too on this matter. It’s probably not a stretch to say that quite a few Christians are deceived as well. Please, I urge you brothers and sisters to evaluate this and examine yourself because you very well may be deceived as well. This is very important…

God is not a Toy

A brother over at Anointed Place posted a great writing that I wanted to share. God is Holy behind anything we can comprehend with our finite minds. God is not like us and He is set apart. I for one need more respect in prayer and how I handle things of God. As well as paying more attention to reverence and the fear of the Lord. God is not a toy.. I pray this blesses you –

Witnessing a Football Game

Contradictions and Half Truths

Recently a brother in Christ and I went to a football game. On the way home, we began to discuss the view of the Bible that we have heard from unbelievers. We have both heard many times from unbelievers that the Word of God is full of contradictions and half truths. As we discussed the writings, we had an idea –

Two Realities – God and Satan

Just because someone does not believe in the reality of God, it does not make Him all of a sudden non-existent. God is real regardless if someone believes or not.

The reality we believe in is the one we partake in. The one we partake in is the one we obey. We should examine and see which reality is our master.

As I was writing this, the movie Matrix came to mind. The video below pretty much sums it up, as well as this verse –

Walking with the Lord

Walking with the Lord

Walking with the Lord – After praying and seeking out the Lord, here is a follow-up to a recent post – Choosing Freedom over Slavery. I covet your prayers, encouragement and any insight.

Over the past day or so, I have received guidance related to walking with the Lord. The Lord is showing me that I’m not always walking with Him. I’m hearing (He’s always speaking), but I’m not always doing. Lord: “Pick up your mat and walk” – No walking. Lord: “Go wash your eyes in the pool and see” – No walking. Lord: “Go show your healing of leprosy to the priest” – No walking. “Don’t go there” – I keep walking. Choosing to hear the Lord but no action. Thank you Helper for teaching me. Here’s a few related verses –

Bible Study with a 12yr old

The Lord is good. The only visitor tonight at the shelter’s bible study was a 12yr old boy. He walked in and wasn’t sure he wanted to stay. He said “I want to come in, but I don’t…” and I said, “Ya, I know.. that’s the Spirit vs Flesh.” He sat down, praise God.

The words that come out of the mouths of young children are so edifying. This was so cool. He sits down and says “I’m not a Christian.”
