Top 10 ways to Christian Love
Here is a great blog post by a sister in-Christ that gives great guidance to the abused. In my opinion, it has a great top 10 list for real Christian love. Also, the 4 points she makes on finding real love as a Christian is just as good as the top 10. Great wisdom. I love the title of her post too – To get the right one, ya gotta be the right one. Too often we look externally/selfishly at what we want instead of focusing on what God says we need.
Top 10 ways to Christian Love
- Listen without interrupting. (Proverbs 18)
- Speak without accusing. (James 1:19)
- Give without sparing. (Proverbs 21:26)
- Pray without ceasing. (Colossians 1:9)
- Answer without arguing. (Proverbs 17:1)
- Share without pretending. (Ephesians 4:15)
- Enjoy without complaint. (Philippians 2:14)
- Trust without wavering. (Corinthians 13:7)
- Forgive without punishing. (Colossians 3:13)
- Promise without forgetting. (Proverbs 13:12)
#1) Seek a true relationship with Jesus Christ. (Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you). There is NO relationship that can stand without God at the center of it.
#2) Quit looking! Let God “bring” into your life the one HE has chosen for you. (2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?) This does not mean just that they believe in God, even the devil believes in God and trembles because of Him. They also need a true relationship with Jesus Christ. Loving God first and foremost.
#3) Make sure they are of God. Keep in mind the devil knows what you are looking for also. (Matthew 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?) Just because someone teaches a Sunday School class or sings in a choir or even confesses to be a christian, doesn’t necessarily mean their heart is right.
#4) Do they reflect the true biblical love of God, not just hearers of the Word but doers also. (James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.) Keep in mind again, even the devil knows God’s Word but he doesn’t DO IT. Not everyone who calls on the name of the Lord is a christian.

Love God with your Mind – Agape
Matthew 22:36-37 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
The word love in this context is agape in the Greek. The central meaning to agape is a self-sacrificing love. It is not a human feeling that is emotional, sentimental, etc. It also is unrelated to a brotherly, friendly, or sexual kind of love. It is the essence of God, God is love. Now, this is how it is now reading to me –
Our Life is God’s Church: Jesus
The Lord continued to flow this morning on the last topic: Life with God and Jesus. I so thank God for the Body of Jesus Christ (you) as it helps me understand the things that happen in life.
Natural man’s understanding of coincidences in life are deemed as something of chance, an oddity, happenstance, etc. Man’s understanding of the word coincidence is not based on what the word really means. As we set our eyes on the things that are unseen, we see these things are coincidences if we know the definition of the word. Look at the word coincidence (the root: coincide). The websters definition of coincidence: (also explained in this posting)
1 a : to occupy the same place in space or time b : to occupy exactly corresponding or equivalent positions on a scale or in a series
2 : to correspond in nature, character, or function
3 : to be in accord or agreement

God reveals Pt2: Love
As mentioned in the first posting on this topic (here), there have been 3 experiences in my walk with God whereas this overwhelming sense came over me that I was about to experience Him. These were situations whereas there is an advance heads-up. Kinda like “Pay attention, I’m about to reveal something.” This sensation is a bit difficult to explain. As stated in the other post, the best way I can explain this is as a sense, a feeling.. a forewarning? The thought that goes through my head is “God is here and I’m about to experience something from Him. Be watchful.” It is a very strong feeling, like everything goes still.. It is so strong that I pause at whatever I’m doing, because I know something is up and the next thing I experience will be Him so I start watching. This specific one was seriously God and it is difficult to talk about.. But here you go. By the way, I could use some help w/ interpreting part of this –

Weapons of warfare
With a great battle going on for our souls, it sometimes can be difficult to be caught in the middle of the Spiritual warfare that is going on without having knowledge of the war.
