Give Thanks in Everything

Since I know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose, then I would like to give thanks in every thing. For this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning me. (Romans 8:28, 1 Thessalonians 5:18)

Dear God,

I thank you for the lessons that seem painful, but they have revealed selfishness and are teaching me. Blessed be the Lord.

I thank you for providing for me. Even though I can be selfish and think that I am the provider of things, you have taught me that you are the Provider of all that is in my life. Blessed be the Lord.

I thank you that when I do or think wrongfully, that you reveal to me a better way. Also, I thank you that you have strengthened me by your Spirit to overcome from doing or thinking things wrongfully. Blessed be the Lord.

I thank you for the trials and tribulations in life that are strengthening my faith and endurance. Blessed be the Lord.

I thank you for the people in my life that you have ordained, for my benefit. I thank you for those that are blessings and those that I may not think are blessings. You are ultimately in control and are teaching me something. Blessed be the Lord.

I thank you that even though my flesh doesn’t like some things in life, that you have blessed me with ‘eyes to see’ so that I can see your hand involved. Thank you for blessing me with learning patience. Blessed be the Lord.

I thank you that even though I fall trap to fleshly thinking, unrighteous thoughts, anger, frustration, a lack of faith, and many other things of the world, that your Spirit shows me, guides me, and teaches me in the path of righteousness. Blessed be the Lord.

I thank you for your Son, Jesus Christ. Who has died for the forgiveness of my sins. Thank you Jesus for teaching me, interceding for me, and just being a friend. I love you too. Blessed be the Lord.

I thank you for your Spirit who continues to guide and help me. I thank you for your Word. Blessed be the Lord.

Lord, I thank you for so much. Without you, I would still be lost in the pits. Thank you Lord. There is so much to give thanks for. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I love you.

Thank you for the shirt I wear that has a hole in it. Blessed be the Lord

Thank you for revealing to me my worry, so that I may learn to trust in you. Blessed be the Lord.

Thank you for showing me many other things of wickedness in my life, so that I may learn to repent and turn to you. Blessed be the Lord.

Lord, there is so much you are doing.. I can’t thank you enough. Thank you for all the things I see as “bad”, because I know you are there. Thank you for forming me. Thank you for being there. Thank you for hearing and helping me. Thank you for the tires on the car and the laptop. Thank you for the food in my gut and a bed to lie down in tonight. Thank you for the people who persecute me, so I can learn to love thy enemy. Thank you for showing me my fears, so that true love may come in and cast out fear. Thank you Lord God. Thank you.

Lord, it is good to give thanks unto the Lord. You are deserving of all praise, glory and honor. Blessed be the Lord. How can I stop giving thanks? In all things give thanks.

I thank you for people who talk badly and gossip about me. I thank you for those who hate me. I thank you for those who want to hurt me. I thank you for those who despise me and purposely do things in an attempt to make my life uncomfortable. I thank you for those who devise wicked plans against me with one another. I thank you for scattering the plans of the enemy. I thank you for all because I know that you are forming me into the image of your Son, which means I must go through the fire. I count it as carrying my cross, which you have taught me. You are building in me a great thing, thank you! Blessed be the Lord God Almighty!

I thank you for your creation, the beautiful sounds, the wind, the sun, the moon, and the stars. The animals, bugs, trees, people, fish, birds of the air, flowers, rain, snow, hail, sleet, freezing rain, and so on. Blessed be the Lord.

I thank you for all the situations where I did not see you, because I know you are there. Bless you Lord, thank you.

I thank you for protecting me, my friends and family. I thank you for the answered prayers. I thank you for the water I have to drink. I thank you for giving me a mind to examine myself. I thank you for revealing to me the lessons that are needed to be learned so that I may be formed into the image of your Son. Lord, I thank you!

Lord, I have cold feet and fingers. Thank you for the feet and fingers that can be cold! Lord, I give you thanks in all things, because you are there. Are you not there when the sun goes down? Are you not there when it rises? Are you not there Jesus in the midst of the storm, the Calmer of the seas? The One who the wind obeys!? Yes, you are always there with me. Blessed be the Lord!!!

God, I thank you for you God. I thank you for you.. for who you are, who you have always been, and who you always will be. The All in All. The great I Am. The King of kings, the Lord of lords. Thank you Father, Son, and Spirit. Thank you God. I thank you for all things that have been, that are, and that are to come… as I know you are with me. Blessed be the Lord God Almighty.
