Water Giving Testimony

John 7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

Last night, I was invited to a gathering of prayer by a couple of brothers. They were unable to call and inform me that the place of prayer was not opened and plans had changed. That’s ok, as all things work together for the good for those that love God. I pray this water giving testimony blesses your heart.. Thank you Lord

When things like this happen, I like to consider the original intent of heart – prayer, then hold steadfast onto it without wavering (the cancellation did indeed prove to be an attempt at a distraction). The evil one sure does try to deceive us away from things of God via such events.

Once I ended up downtown and realized that the prayer meeting was not taking place, I sat down on some steps and prayed. I said, “Lord, I came to pray and I won’t allow this to stop me.” As I was praying, thinking, talking to the Lord, etc., I became very thirsty. I considered going to a store to buy bottled water. As my time in prayer ended, my mind was very focused on thirst. I began to walk back to my car..

As I started to walk down the sidewalk, I noticed trash in the middle of the street. I look at it and I see a crushed water bottle. “Hmmm, ok Lord.. I’m not going to a store.” As I took a few more steps, my car came into view (it was parked a block up the street, around a corner). I hadn’t realized when I parked, but I parked in front of a Church. I guess I didn’t put a lot of thought into it because there are a few Church’s and big buildings in this area. But when I saw the Church.. I felt drawn to it. That unction is hard to put into words, but those who experience such unctions will know what I’m referring to.. As I put my backpack into the back seat, I look up at the Church –

I just want to take a moment and say, Praise God. Thank you for this camera phone. It is helpful to turn the words of these testimonies into real photos. Thank you Lord. Once this testimony was done, I took the pictures to show what I went through. It is surely awesome to have these pics so it becomes more alive..

As I look up at the Church and set my backpack down, I hear, “Come..” I say, “Ok Lord..” I walk to the side of the Church and sit on some benches. I begin to pray for the Church, the Pastor, congregation, etc. Here was my view –

As I finished praying, I was thinking about how thirsty I was.. as I was considering my thirst and looking at this flower pot in front of me, something caught my eye next to the pot –

“Come.. Look.. Drink..” – I laughed. As I walked toward the hose, I considered that most outdoor spigots for larger buildings do not have a handle but there is usually a special tool to use to turn them on. I walk around the corner where the spigot was, and the tool to turn on the spigot was left in the shutoff valve. I opened the valve and drank.. The Lord surely does provide. So I drank, watered some flowers, prayed more, and thanked the Lord. It was a beautiful time.. until a bee started to chase me and I left.. which was another lesson in itself. :)

I pray this edifies you and yours. Set your mind on things above, and keep your eyes peeled beloved. God is always speaking.. Are we listening/looking? God bless you and yours. I pray the Lord magnifies His peace, grace, and mercy upon you. Amen.

John 4:13-14 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Isaiah 49:8-11 Thus saith the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages; That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places. They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them. And I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted. Amen.. amen..
